New York ALT.NET Group April Meeting: Popping the "Why?" Stack on Kanban

Topic: Popping the "Why?" Stack on Kanban

Kanban as a project management tool has become increasingly popular in software circles recently, but the focus has been too much about the implementation details of the kanban board, which is simply the visual artifact of a lean sotware workflow. In this talk, we will be looking at applying lean principles to our project management and engineering practices to eliminate waste, increase quality, and deliver value faster. You may be surprised to learn that many of the practices and principles you know of as XP or Agile are firmly grounded in lean manufacturing. We will look at these ideas from a different angle and fully understand the "why" of kanban before you go out into the world and focus on the "how".

This discussion will be led by Scott Reynolds; for more info see his blog at http://www.scottcreyn...

This meeting will be held at the Microsoft offices as usual. Check the Meetup site for details!
