You are right. The deal is only for their e-book version.
O'Reilly has been working thought its list of books and offering an Deal of the Day for the e-book versions of the title for $9.99. You can get the e-book in one of four format with free updates. The e-books usually cost about $10 less then the printed version, which we know are not inexpensive.
