SunGard Consulting is looking for a seasoned .NET application architect as we are growing our NYC Metro Consulting Practice.

Candidate needs to be very familiar with the Microsoft .NET development environment and tools as well as having a deep understanding of database and middleware technologies.

Candidate should have strong technical design skills and be familiar with OO design concepts and design patterns.

Candidate will be required to design and implement application data models using Oracle, Sybase and/or SQL Server along with performing code reviews and enforcing technical architecture standards. Candidate will also be expected to code the application framework and architecture to ensure that the development team understands how to use these concepts.

• Proven experience with large application architecture design and development
  
• Familiarity with SOA design and implementation
  
• Familiarity with SOA Governance
  
• Deep understanding of VB.NET, C#.NET, XML, UML is a plus
  
• Deep understanding of OO design concepts and design patterns
  
• Deep understanding of database and middleware technologies
  
• Familiarity with TIBCO, WebMethods, SeeBeyond, BizTalk Server is a plus
  
• Familiarity with Portal technologies is a plus
  
• Familiarity with Oracle, Sybase and/or SQL Server, PL-SQL, T-SQL
  
• Previous Consulting experience strongly preferred
  
• Team Lead/Mentoring responsibilities
  
• Good communication skills a must
  

Other Requirements:

• Local NYC metro candidates preferred as we are not offering relocation
  
• Travel is a potential for this role
