The Prosser Group (http://theprossergrou...) is an engineering firm working hand in hand with Con Edison of NY (public utility for NYC) on smart grid and electric vehicle charging infrastructure initiatives. The company has a small team of developers in downtown Brooklyn and is looking to expand. We are looking for a sr. Java or .NET developer with an enterprise background who has successfully deployed mission critical applications (ERP, CRM, financial services, health care, etc) at big companies. Someone with project management skills and who can mentor a small team is also critical.

Building a Smart Grid has gained a lot of media attention this past year. A big part of the challenge is upgrading IT infrastructure and software tools used by utility operators. This small company is busily building a set of software products that will meet future demands from electric vehicles, distributed energy storage, and energy efficiency.

This is an onsite position in Manhattan or downtown Brooklyn, either on a full-time salary or contracting basis. NO TELECOMMUTERS.

Technical Requirements:
- 5+ years of enterprise Java development with numerous deployments
- Strong working knowledge of Oracle, DB2, or SQL Server databases
- Strong working knowledge of BEA WebLogic, WebSphere, or TIBCO
- Familiarity with Java a strong plus
- B.S. Computer Science or equivalent
